Dr. Erika M. Pryor

I’m geek chic or at least I like to think so!

I eat, sleep, live and breathe communication, social and traditional media, as well as web and mobile technologies.  Much of my life is characterized by these exciting areas. As an added bonus, I have a deep rooted passion for the way people work with and negotiate communication and media to benefit themselves personally and professionally.

As an Independent Digital Communication consultant, I’m “At Large” meaning, I work with a variety of business professionals and small businesses on digital identify, social media, blogging, content development and more. Simply put, I’m always on go, starting new projects, and helping people enhance their “digital footprint.”

As an added bonus, I stay abreast of what’s happening in the digital world by interviewing industry experts on my internet radio show, Digital 411 — heard exclusively on TalktainmentRadio.com, recorded live 10am EST, Saturday mornings. It’s a “soft tech” radio show, which means we talk about what’s happening on the social web from the user’s perspective.

Prior to working as an Independent Digital Communication consultant, I was an Interactive Communication Coordinator for a real estate trade association, a freelance writer, and Assistant Professor of Communication.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, volunteering, hitting a good networking event (you read that correctly), kick boxing, reading books, and staying as uninformed as possible about Ohio State University football (I find this is the best way to annoy my Cbus friends!)

I speak about personal branding, online content development, social media and web technologies to groups. My previous speaking engagements include: Social Media Club Columbus, American Marketing Association, Columbus Chapter, Denison University, and the Society for Technical Communication — Columbus Chapter.
